WohlerCaption is a solution for closed-caption (CC) and subtitle translation, which leverages RadiantGrid technology to extract CC from media sources and pushes them back into the output transcoded file.
With the new CC/subtitle framework built on open standards, this solution now supports a wide range of input and output standards, and a variety of data presentations. Any CC input/subtitles can be leveraged through any output platform while meeting their requirements for streaming and delivering content over the internet.
The translation of the CC data/subtitles between these standards occurs without any impact on the video or audio, i.e. it will remain in its native state. In addition to being built with RadiantGrid technology, it allows users to execute multiple simultaneous processing tasks such as translation and transcoding, and with it the output features are of greater speed and efficiency.
