Haivision
The Kraken HEVC is Haivision's new H.264 encoder and transcoder baseband introducing to the market, enabling organizations to deliver high-quality video using low-capacity networks, while enabling complete interoperability with existing H.264 infrastructures and workflows.
For Kraken HEVC users, the workflow consists of receiving high-bit rate H.264 streams or baseband inputs, converting these signals into HEVC for transport, and then converting the current from HEVC to H.264 for distribution throughout their ecosystem.
Designed for government and enterprise applications, intelligence, surveillance, ISR recognition and video backhaul contribution, it comes with 0.5 seconds of latency and optimized for 720p/1080p applications; it is available in compact 14" device, designed for power and space-restricted applications such as satellite trucks.
