Sony's new PMW-200 camcorder comes equipped with three 1/2-inch Exmor CMOS sensors, which give the camera good performance, even in harsh lighting conditions.
The XD Cam line, heir to the versatility of the PMW-EX1R model, uses MPEG HD422 recording to achieve superior image performance. Its compact 50Mbps 4:2:2 design comes with a wide-angle lens.
Similarly, it offers a variety of recording formats including MXF 50Mbps/35Mbps, MP435Mbps/25Mbps and DVCAM, available for a wide range of applications and workflows.
It also offers a slow and fast motion function, which allows you to capture images at 1 fps up to 60 fps in 720p mode, and at 1 fps up to 30 fps in 1080p mode. Clips can be selected and played back immediately after recording without the need to use converters or process them in non-linear editing systems.
