Sony
Sony presents the new version 1.5 of the software for the F65 digital cinema cameras and the SR-R4 recorder, an important update for the functionality and versatility of these equipment.
The new software opens the F65 camera for television productions that are working in high definition, allowing the camera to work in HDCAM SR. It also adds S-Log2 for HD-SDI output, which covers a total of 1,300% of the dynamic range.
HDCAM SR uses MPEG-4 SStP with 440Mbps recording and 220Mbps compression. The HDCAM SR format can be integrated into AVID, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Vegas and other NLE for post-production.
Likewise, Sony added a RAW Lite with the selection of FPS as an additional alternative. RAW Lite allows 50 minutes in 24p with the SR-512S25 memory card vs. 30 minutes in regular RAW recording. The software is free for all Sony PSLA customers in Latin America, this version has been included in all F65s.
