Sony presents its new PMW-TD shoulder camera. The equipment is 300 full HD with 3D evaluation screen and no lenses. The unit uses XDCAM EX codec in addition to two 1/2" 3x CMOS sensors to deliver great 3D image quality, even in dark environments.
The camcorder can record more than six hours on SxS cards, yes they are used from 64 GB 4x. As it supports both 2D and 3D capabilities, it is the perfect choice for production companies and freelancers who make musicals, documentaries or short films.
With a short interaxial distance of only 45mm, it allows 3D recording at short distances of up to 1.2m. It is the world's first 3D shoulder camcorder to use a 3.5" lens-free 3D LCD display to evaluate the image.
The equipment replaces the separate ring model with a single multi-control dial, operators can easily control zoom, focus and convergence to create 3D images with better overall quality.
