Panasonic announced the firmware update for its AG-DVX200PJ 4K camera. With a 4/3" sensor, the AG-DVX200 is a handheld model with characteristics of high-end models, including 4k/60p recording, 13 X optical zoom and a V-Log L gamma curve with 12 stops latitude.
Version 1.25 of the camcoder offers a new quick scan mode for the options menu in 4K24p, UHD 29.97p, UHD 23.98p and UHD 25p recordings to minimize a potential tilt (skewing).
The reproduction of colors in high levels of brightness was also improved to enhance the reproduction of skin tones, beyond the decrease in the possibility of black point noise in 4K/UHD recordings.
