Latin America. Ross Video launched the latest addition to its Software-Defined Production Ecosystem. Software Defined Production (SDP) is a new and growing family of products based on the vision that broadcast companies should be able to freely choose the transport that is most appropriate for their project.
SDP brings adaptability, scalability and agility to broadcasters by moving away from single-function devices that mostly remain idle in a pool of flexible resources that can meet on-demand production needs.
With hybrid production models (i.e. both IP and SDI) likely to hold for a significant time, SDP offers certainty to broadcasters through clear and progressive upgrade paths that guarantee their current and historical investments.
"Ross has a strong track record of delivering solutions that replace customer confusion with simplicity," said Todd Riggs, Marketing Product Manager at Ross Video. "The key is to ensure that customers have the right choices given their scale, budget and risk tolerance, and that no one is trampled on by an avalanche of unnecessary or compromising technology."
