Brainstorm and never.no to Launch Joint Graphics System

Latin America. Brainstorm and never.no, announced the joint launch of OnMedia, a comprehensive solution for managing augmented reality 3D graphics based on social media feeds.

OnMedia is one of the developments originated in the VisualMedia Project, included in the Europe 2020 Horizon program, headed by Brainstorm and never.no. This project was funded by the European Commission in response to the needs of the creative industries in the broadcast sector.

OnMedia integrates both Brainstorm and never.no technologies, using the power of its 3D graphics engine to display gathered and structured information from the Internet. The Social Media Engine can select the information, edit the graphics template, publish it and send the graphic to the workflow of any broadcaster, or even send it to the air directly, presenting the information in an attractive way. OnMedia is a scalable solution, adaptable to the needs of local, regional or national television stations indistinctly, as well as those of producers of all kinds.

OnMedia allows the management, personalization and publication of social media content in the form of 3D graphics and "second screen" content, going beyond the minimum necessary by providing a production flow hitherto unheard of in conventional broadcast environments. It is a modular application that facilitates the search, moderation, publication and visualization of the content generated by the audience of a program.

According to David Alexander, Chief Commercial Officer of Brainstorm, "OnMedia helps broadcasters increase audience loyalty by providing a unique end-to-end social media graphics management solution based on Brainstorm's more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast real-time graphics industry."

Scott Davies, CEO of never.no, said: "OnMedia goes beyond what is expected when it comes to deploying social media data in a visually dynamic television format, as it adds a workflow that is not normally found in a broadcast environment to use. While visualization is key, the ability for producers, journalists and editors to gather, moderate and build visual formats in real time with the ability to effect change through a single interface with this ease is something that until now did not exist in this industry."
