Brazil. LineUp, AEQ's partner in Brazil, implemented an intercom infrastructure based on AEQ's Xpeak technology for the coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup carried out by SBT (Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão), ensuring seamless communication between the teams distributed in Brazil and the United States.
The solution enabled seamless communication between SBT's headquarters in Brazil, teams deployed in the United States, the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Dallas and broadcast partner NSports, ensuring efficient coordination during tournament coverage operations.
Infrastructure details
The infrastructure was supported by the AEQ Virtual Matrix to interconnect all the points involved in production:
SBT headquarters (Brazil): Xpeak IF interfaces connected the DELEC intercom system (used by the Brazilian network) with AEQ's communication network.
Mobile unit (Philadelphia): In the United States, this same technology allowed integration with the RTS system installed in the mobile unit deployed at Lincoln Financial Field.
Broadcast Center (IBC Dallas): The operators used Xpeak Virtual (AEQ's software solution for professional communications), maintaining permanent contact with the mobile unit, SBT's headquarters in Brazil and NSports' teams.
NSports Brasil: It was integrated into the same infrastructure through Xpeak terminals, which allowed real-time coordination between all the participants in the operation.
An integrated communication ecosystem
Thanks to this architecture, the different teams were able to work as a single communication network, overcoming geographical distances and facilitating the integration of different intercom technologies within the same broadcast operation.
The flexibility of the Xpeak platform and the integration capacity of AEQ's Virtual Matrix made it possible to build a communications ecosystem adapted to the demands of one of the largest sporting events in the world.
