Blackmagic Week to discuss the future of Brazilian TV

Blackmagic Week debatirá el futuro de la TV brasileña

Brazil. Brazilian television is experiencing one of the most important moments in its history. After the implementation of digital television, the sector is preparing for a new technological revolution: the arrival of DTV+ (TV 3.0), a new transmission model that promises to completely transform the viewer's experience and open a new era for broadcasters, producers and content creators.

In this context, Blackmagic Week – São Paulo Special Edition is being held, an event that will bring together some of the main authorities of the national audiovisual market to discuss the direction of production, transmission and new technologies that will define the next decade of Brazilian television.

Organized by Pinnacle Group, in collaboration with Blackmagic Design and NITS. LAB, Blackmagic Week will take place in the modern facilities of PIC – Polo da Indústria Criativa, in Vila Leopoldina, offering participants a true immersion in technology, innovation and networking.

In this edition of Blackmagic Week, the institutional presence of SET will be represented by its president, Paulo Henrique Castro, and director Luana Bravo, reinforcing the importance of integration between industry, engineering and audiovisual production.

Their participation symbolizes the organization's constant commitment to bringing knowledge, innovation and the market closer together.

"We are building the next generation of Brazilian television."
During the second day of Blackmagic Week, dedicated to the theme of Production, Paulo Henrique, President of SET, will offer an exclusive conference on the implementation of DTV+, addressing the evolution of the Brazilian project, the technological challenges and the impact that this transformation will have on the entire audiovisual chain.

Highlights of the presentation will include the first streaming experiences of the new platform during the FIFA World Cup, an important milestone in validating technologies, operational flows and the audience experience.

presidente de SET, el Paulo Henrique Castro."DTV+ represents much more than a technological update. It creates a connected, intelligent and personalized television, ready for the future," summarizes the president of SET, Paulo Henrique Castro.

What is DTV+?
DTV+ represents the evolution of Brazilian digital television.
It combines the robustness of terrestrial transmission with the resources of the internet, offering viewers an experience similar to that of streaming platforms, while maintaining all the advantages of traditional television.
Its benefits include:
● Ultra HD image
● HDR
● Surround Audio
● Personalized content
● Interactivity
● Smart guides
● Real-time applications
● New services for broadcasters and advertisers

DTV+ is expected to completely transform the way television is produced, distributed and consumed in the coming years.

Broadcasting is definitely entering the IP era.
Another highlight of the program will be the lecture given by Fabio Angelini, Commercial Director of Pinnacle Group and Official Ambassador of Blackmagic Design in Brazil.

His presentation will show how IP video is moving away from a trend to becoming a reality in broadcasters, production companies, sports stadiums, remote production centers and major events around the world.

According to Angelini, the evolution of high-speed Ethernet networks is allowing the entire broadcasting infrastructure to gradually migrate from traditional SDI technology to fully IP-based environments.

"We are entering a new phase of audiovisual production, where flexibility, scalability and interoperability are becoming fundamental. Video over IP is no longer the future; it is the present of large broadcasting operations," says Fabio Angelini, commercial director of Pinnacle Group.

ST 2110 x NDI
NDI
• Light compression
• Easy installation
• Great for streaming
• Widely used in events, churches, education and corporate productions
• Low cost of implementation

SMPTE ST 2110
• Official Broadcast Industry Standard
• Separate video, audio, and metadata streams
• Uncompressed quality
• Precise Timing (PTP)
• Extremely low latency
• High scalability
• Ideal for large broadcasters, production sites and mission-critical operations

Why will ST 2110 be so important?
With the advent of DTV+, the need for more flexible and scalable infrastructures becomes inevitable.

The SMPTE ST 2110 standard allows the entire broadcast operation to operate over IP networks, simplifying installations, reducing the physical limitations of SDI, and preparing broadcasters for new models of distributed production, remote production, and resource sharing.

Blackmagic Design has played a key role in this democratization, incorporating the ST 2110 into a variety of equipment and allowing production companies of all sizes to access technology that was previously restricted to the world's largest television networks.

A meeting that brings together those who build the future.
More than just a technical event, Blackmagic Week São Paulo will take place in an environment of knowledge exchange between engineers, broadcasting professionals, filmmakers, producers, integrators, students and manufacturers.

During the three days of programming, participants will have access to live demonstrations, case studies, exclusive presentations and discussions on digital filmmaking, live production, post-production, artificial intelligence, IP infrastructure and the future of television.

Celebrate Blackmagic Week at NITS. LAB, one of the largest audiovisual production companies and structures in Brazil, located in the PIC – Creative Industry Hub, reinforces the innovative character of the event and offers visitors the opportunity to experience one of the most modern production environments in the country.

Whether you work in broadcasting, live production, digital film, streaming, TV engineering, systems integration, or content creation, Blackmagic Week – São Paulo Special Edition is a must-see.

Together with leaders such as Paulo Henrique Castro, Luana Bravo, Fabio Angelini, as well as Blackmagic Design experts such as acclaimed cinematographer Tor Johansen, winner of 6 Emmy awards, and guests from the audiovisual market, you will have access to a unique program, practical demonstrations and strategic debates on the future of Brazilian television.

Beyond being up to date with market changes, this will be an opportunity to understand them directly from those who are leading this transformation.
