Latin America. Hitachi's tradition of delivering exceptional visual quality and superior price/performance for live production applications continues at the 2024 NAB Show, where customers can get their first glimpse of the DK-H700 4K box camera, which is available now.
In a demonstration at booth C4516, Hitachi Kokusai's next-generation box-type camera is suited to a variety of high-end government, professional audio-visual, and broadcast applications.
Showcased as a reference for the NAB audience last year, visitors to the NAB Show 2024 will get a real sense of the DK-H700's smooth operation, artistic capabilities and stunning visual quality.
The latter two benefits are amplified by the camera's advanced digital signal processing and HDR support. The design of the DK-H700 also includes 2/3-inch 3-chip RGB CMOS sensors with 8.3 million pixels each. Together, these features add up to produce crisp, clear images with minimal noise, true-to-life color fidelity, and extraordinary sensitivity.
The DK-H700 is a multi-format solution that meets ITU-R wide color gamut specifications. BT-2020 and operates within REC BT2100 high dynamic range standards. These allow content creators to produce standalone shows in a dual workflow setup for HDTV and/or UHD SDI output formats.
The new DK-H700 has also added a 1/4 ND filter to be able to produce a shallow depth of field with the iris open, which will add artistic value and reduce the moiré effect on video walls. Providing the ability to produce a shallow depth of field, while also featuring 2/3" native global shutter sensors for maximum depth of field, offers the best of both worlds to create a maximum artistic experience.

Hitachi Kokusai will also demonstrate its SK-UHD7000 series, including the SK-UHD7000-S2 camera that is available now and was introduced last year. The SK-UHD7000-S2 is a multi-format camera with an affordable licensing option for 4K. This offers a lower initial point of purchase for customers who want high-quality 1080p right away and a field-upgradeable path to 4K.
