Latin America. DaVinci Resolve for iPad is Blackmagic Design's latest addition to its editing system, which allows creators to extend their audiovisual work dynamics in innovative ways in different places.
Optimized for multi-touch technology and the Apple Pencil device, this new application includes the functions of DaVinci Resolve's Mount and Color modules, thus providing access to the program's renowned imaging technology, as well as color grading tools, and the possibility of working with high dynamic range content.
On the other hand, its compatibility with Blackmagic Cloud offers the opportunity to collaborate with other users around the world. DaVinci Resolve for iPad will be available free of charge on the App Store starting this quarter. It will also be possible to purchase the features of the Studio version through an in-app purchase.
With optimized operation on Apple Silicon systems, DaVinci Resolve delivers four times faster speeds when rendering ProRes UHD codecs on the new iPad Pro model with M2 processor. It is also compatible with the 12.9-inch version of this tablet that includes the M1 processor.
This makes it possible to transmit a clean signal to Apple Studio Display or Pro Display XDR monitors and any display that supports AirPlay technology. This makes it easy to use these external devices to quickly create visual styles on set or color out clips during post-production directly from an iPad.
The new application will allow you to open and create DaVinci Resolve project files compatible with version 18 of the program. Supported formats include H.264, H.265, ProRes, and Blackmagic RAW. In addition, the opportunity to import clips stored on the iPad Pro model will be provided, as well as Apple Photos, iCloud or USB-C disks connected to the device.
