United States. The well-known television production company Bunim Murray selected the editing and storage systems of Avid Media Composer 6, Symphony 6 and ISIS 5000, seeking to better manage their contents.
Mark Raudonis, senior vice president of Postproduction at the production company, explained that "due to the large volume of material generated by reality show type programs, we had to reevaluate our editing and storage solutions. At the same time, we were looking for a partner who understood our long-term needs."
The ability to integrate Media Composer 6 and Symphony 6 software with its existing infrastructure, thanks to the new Avid Open I/O and the increased interoperability of Pro Tools, was one of the factors that were fundamental for Bunim Murray to decide on these solutions.
In addition, the addition of the new Sympony 6 solution with Total Conform, which allows a transfer of disconnected projects in Media Composer to Sympony for final editing, as well as advanced finishing capabilities will allow the Avid customer to complete mastering internally.
According to Mark Raudonis, with the new Avid Open I/O, they did not have to change the hardware of their editing stations, simply a software installation.
