Harmonic presents to the market its new Polaris playout management system, fully integrable with the Spectrum family of servers. This solution is designed to satisfy a wide range of playout applications for broadcasters.
The Polaris suite represents the first proposal within the Concept of Media Orchestration developed by Harmonic and aims to consolidate and simplify workflows in virtualized environments.
The Polaris Advance integrated channel automation system, in conjunction with the Pebble Beach systems, following an agreement reached by both companies, will allow the management of a complete multichannel workflow from a simple interface.
This solution will also maximize flexibility in current playout workflows by adapting to individual customer needs and their requirements for efficient play to air through integration with the Spectrum server system.
In addition, starting from an IP scheme, Polaris Advance, facilitates the management of the Spectrum ChannelPort playout system while supporting the possibilities offered by the virtualized Harmonic VOS video distribution platform.
