EDIUS Pro 7, Grass Valley's editing software, is now available. This new version is faster and more versatile and works with almost any format: 4K, 3D, HD and SD from 24x24 to 4K x 4X, all in the same timeline, even in nested sequences, all in real time.
EDIUS has partnered with Blackmagic Design to support its PCle DeckLink 4K Extreme and Thunderbolt-based UltraStudio 4K capture and playback devices for a more affordable 4k workflow.
Among other features, it is open to third-party I/O hardware from Blackmagic Design, Matrox, and AJA; and features a fast and flexible user interface, including unlimited video, audio, title, and graphics tracks.
It has support for the latest file formats (Sony XAVC/XAVC S, Panasonic AVC-Ultra, and Canon 1DC M-JPEG) as they are released. And it works natively with many different video formats, such as Sony's XDCAM, Panasonic's P2, Ikegami's GF, XF and Canon's EOS.
