Ceiling Speakers 8138
JBL Professional, a unit of Harman International Industries, launches new 8138 ceiling speaker of high sensitivity and elegant design. The 8138, an expansion of the 8100 series, is ideal for a wide variety of commercial applications. It is an 8-inch speaker, full range, with high-fidelity performance and low cost. The 8138's 6-watt multi-step transformer allows use on 70V or 100V lines. In addition, its high sensitivity (97 decibels) transmits the maximum sound levels with the minimum of power amplifier, which makes it possible to use smaller power amplifiers compared to less sensitive speakers. The 8138 comes with a 1-inch voice coil from Kapton® for added reliability. The treated fabric edge provides a lower bass, compared to typical paper edges, for better sound quality. Requires pre-installed backcans.
