Latin America. Raptor is a cloud-based captioning encoder introduced by ENCO, which offers a simple and straightforward way to integrate CEA-608 captions into a live program stream.
With the convergence of AI-powered software-defined infrastructure and automated captioning workflows, Raptor's rapid deployment capabilities offer powerful new captioning options for live streams, sporting events, and audiovisuals.
Raptor expands ENCO's range of subtitling solutions, being the company's first cloud subtitling encoder. Raptor's software-defined architecture allows customization at any point in the chain to suit workflows and standards in use, supporting SRT, RTMP, HLS, and other video streams at source or destination.
StreamGuys, a long-time partner of NEC, will provide the hosting infrastructure for Raptor, offering customers a secure and reliable live captioning service.
In addition to access to technical support and availability of the StreamGuys network, customers benefit from Raptor's seamless integration with the StreamGuys Contribution Network. The enterprise media streaming ecosystem will receive a live stream from any source and provide an onramp to the Contribution Network to stream embedded closed captions in a variety of formats.
Raptor customers will also have access to other valuable Contribution Network services, such as cross-protocol transmultiplexing. This process efficiently repackages streams into multiple formats to ensure compatibility with more devices, allowing wider audience access for streaming and streaming events.
