Mexico. Calrec, developer of professional audio systems for the broadcast industry, has professional audio options for all markets, from high-end to smaller companies, said Rafael Rodríguez, general director of Respuesta Integral, Calrec's official distributor in Mexico.
"This year we have consolidated many more sales, with Televisa mainly. At NAB, Calrec launched a console for other types of customers, not as high cost as Artemis or Apollo. The Brio console can give us a lot of push for small televisions, which is a branch that we were neglecting, because we did not reach that market segment that is very important, "he said.
He stated during Expo Cine, TV y Video 2016, held in Mexico City from Tuesday, June 28 to Friday, July 1, 2016, that the commercialization of this equipment continues to increase. "Worldwide, Calrec has sold about 50 consoles, just from April to here. It's a pretty strong push that Calrec has with that console and it will be very useful for the Latin American market."
He added: "And new television stations are coming in Mexico. And for them, with a price of around 35 thousand dollars, it is very cheap, compared to the Artemis (consoles) that are in the order of 400 thousand dollars. It is very cheap and with many features; it goes into the budget of a state broadcaster, government, and many other customers."
