Latin America. Panasonic reported the addition of the new AK-UC3000, a 4K studio camera, previously announced at NAB 2015, to its line-up of studio cameras. It is aimed at studios and high-level productions that require functionality at a reasonable price, is equipped with a sensor that outputs a UHD signal of 3840/2160/60p, and also provides superior image quality in HD.
The camera's B4 mount accommodates the existing range of 2/3-inch lenses to maximize customers' return on investment with their lenses, allowing for greater and more economical choice for sports, concerts and other applications. The AK-UC3000 also allows you to record with high sensitivity (F10/2000lx), with low noise (S/N 60dB), in high resolution (1100 TV lines) and with a large dynamic range of 600% (-6dB~36dB).
The AK-UC3000 has new and innovative features that improve the ease of use and flexibility of the camera. These include shockless gain (-6~36dB), a user gamut setting, dark gamut correction, and digital multi-step noise correction (DNR). The camera reduces skew and performs band compensation using a high-speed scan of the MOS sensor. Dynamic range stretch (DRS) reduces blocked shadows and high reflections in scenes where extremely bright and dark objects coexist, and CAC compensates for chromatic aberration at the periphery of the lens.
The output formats of the AK-UC3000 include:
In HD (3G-SDI - in HD output from ak-UC300): 1080/59.94p, 50p, 59.94i, 50i, 25p, 23.98p, 29.97psF, 25psF, 23.98psF, 720/59.94p, 50p.
In 4K (3G-SDI x 4 - from AK-UCU500): 3840x2160/59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p.
A new camera control unit, the AK-UCU500, provides power up to 6,600 feet in hybrid fiber, and output with 4K signal. Two new remote operation panels provide IP control, the AK-HRP1000 and AK-HRP1005, both with color LCD display. A new 9-inch Full HD LCD viewfinder will also be available.
All products will be available in the winter 2015-2016.
