International. SeeSense and European specialists in miniature camera solutions announced the availability of the new Ribcage system that allows easy and quick installation of C and CS-mount lenses to GoPro cameras.
Although the GoPro camera comes in increasing use by broadcasters and filmmakers, it has been unpopular due to the inseparable ultra-wide-angle lens. Now, with the Ribcage system it means that all GoPro users can quickly and easily fit a wide range of lenses into their GoPro Hero and Hero3+ Black cameras. The system comes with a box that comes in the form of an easy-to-modify kit for the customer.
SeeSense director Nigel Paine said, "Ribcage can include just about any lens you could want for your GoPro. C, CS and M12 mounts that mount directly to the camera will be accepted. You can also bring your old Manual SLR lenses from Nikon, Canon or Pentax etc to life with the use of an adapter."
The box is completed with adapters for the CS and C-mount mounts, as well as the option to remove the IR cut filter for specialist use including night filming, astronomy, etc. It also comes equipped with a three-position tripod mounting plate.
