Mexico. Due to their versatility, image quality, ease of operation and cost-benefit ratio, it has turned Panasonic's robotic cameras into useful tools for the integration of professional video solutions focused on various areas such as staff training, the dissemination of public information or the creation of television channels. n internal.
It is possible to install robotic cameras a basic television studio anywhere, without the need for a large technological deployment and with very few personnel in charge of its operation. To these advantages, we must add the easy access to video transmission over the Internet and the greater availability to make satellite links.
Panasonic de México has provided the technology, while Teletec, an integrator of audiovisual solutions, has designed the project to suit the needs of each user, with systems composed of robotic cameras, camera controls and switchers, which operate in small spaces or in enclosures where the intervention of a cameraman is not feasible due to their conditions. or costs.
Affirm Grupo Financiero Case
With a presence in twenty cities in Mexico and almost four thousand employees, Afirme Grupo Financiero is a Mexican multiple banking institution based in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
Their training and communication program required a technological solution that would allow them to come into direct contact with all the staff of the different branches of the country, which should reduce the high costs of the trips made to the host city of the group and synchronize the dissemination of information. The solution was the creation of an internal television channel to standardize the processes of training and communication with personnel throughout the Republic, generating the signal from Monterrey.
So, with the guidance of Teletec, a television channel of its own is designed and implemented, operated by only two people in a space of just over 80m² with 4.80m in height, in which the priority is that the people who appear "in the box" perform with complete freedom. The project, which bears the name of AFIRME TV, has three robotic cameras AW-HE120W and a compact camera control AW-RP50 from Panasonic, in addition to all the audiovisual equipment necessary to broadcast "live" with professional quality and easy integration with the satellite link, which is taken care of by a third party.
The signal and contents of Afirme TV, reaches the 20 offices of the group in the Republic, which have a reception system composed of an antenna, a decoder and a television screen, so it is very easy for staff to meet to receive training and information remotely.
Although it is too early to quantify the economic benefits of making internal television, because the implementation concluded only in 2013, the estimates of the training and professional development management indicate that in a maximum of three years the investment will be amortized.
Referring to the operation of a television channel seems complicated and even more so when all the responsibility falls on only two people, however the automated solution with robotic cameras of Panasonic, according to Brigitte Duncan, producer of Afirme TV, "... it has been very useful to us because we talk about all the phases: pre-production, production, airtime, but with the system, both my fellow operator and I have been able to carry out the transmissions with good experiences".
