International. Grass Valley announced a partnership with AJA Video Systems that will provide 4K enhancements to its K2 Dyno Replay system. Grass Valley is integrating Corvid Ultra and AJA's TruScale hardware into the K2 Dyno for real-time driving and zooming to enable high-definition extraction from 4K acquisition with DynoZoom.
With DynoZoom functionality built into the K2 Dyno, and available in all resolutions, customers have now expanded workflow flexibility to create engaging repeats and highlight packages.
Corvid Ultra video capture cards are products to facilitate bandwidth and high frame rate workflows. They support 2K and 4K, as well as high-quality scaling capabilities for all resolutions over 4K.
Nick Rashby, President, AJA Video Systems, said: "It is exciting to work with Grass Valley, a company that continuously offers sophisticated and flexible technology solutions for live sand production, especially for live sport. By integrating our hardware systems, K2 Dyno can now deliver higher quality images so repeat operators can tell deeper, more creative stories."
The partnership comes on the heels of additional enhancements to K2 Dyno that were announced at the 2014 NAB Show. Mike Cronk, senior vice president of strategic marketing at Grass Valley, added, "Our K2 Dyno Replay system is widely deployed within the live sports segment and is the go-to system for repeat operators around the world. By incorporating AJA's unique hardware systems into K2 Dyno, our customers can now take advantage of a turnkey solution that gives them the ability to take advantage of 4K images in high definition and in real time."
