International. Fujifilm Corporation, Division of Optical Devices, introduced its new Premier PL 14-35mm wide-angle Cabrio [ZK2.5x14], designed with the latest customer feedback, especially in relation to focal length.
Thom Calabro, director of marketing and product development for Fujifilm Corporation's optical devices division, explained that "as with all of our Cabrio lenses, the 14-35mm lens is lightweight and comfortable to use with smaller 4K cameras, but we have expanded the initial focal range to 14-35mm in T2.9, with 200-degree focus rotation."
The Cabrio 14-35mm PL lens has a detachable digital dimming unit. It can be used as a standalone ENG style lens or cinema-style lens. When used without the unit, it is compatible with standard cinema industry engines.
Thom Calabro added that "for shooters looking for a lightweight zoom that can be used as a handheld device, wide shooting angles in tight spaces, it's ideal."
Designed with the latest version of patented optical simulation software, the PL 14-35mm lens delivers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image and in the corners of the frame. The encoding of the 16-bit digital servo ensures that the operators of all the data of the output lens, including the position of the zoom, iris and focus is very accurate.
The PL 14-35mm wide-angle zoom will be available at the end of October.
