Peru. Large manufacturers are providing greater attention to some Latin American countries that have performed well economically in recent years. This is the case of the company Grass Valley, which made for the first time in Peru the presentation of the new platform of LDX cameras.
For this event, theoretical and practical explanations were made by Tony Delp, senior product specialist at Grass Valley. He had the support of Electo Reyes, systems architect; Jose Calles, regional business manager of the same company, as well as part of the work team of Video Broadcast, distributor of Grass Valley in the region and whose facilities served as the venue for the event.
After a wide participation of professionals from all media in the sector, the company's representatives highlighted that the LDX camera platform is dedicated to HD productions of live or studio events.
Jose Calles, pointed out that "the possibility of having a common platform throughout the HD camera chain to which you can add different features, formats and functions through temporary or permanent software options make this product unique in the industry for this type of solutions at the highest level of technological quality existing in the market".
Some of the outstanding features of this platform are the new generation of 2/3-inch image sensors, which combine all the advantages of the best CCD image sensors, with the latest in CMOS imaging technology.
In addition, a camera system of great flexibility, with four levels based on Flex, Premiere, Elite and Worldcam software. It fully supports Grass Valley 3G fiber and triax transmission solutions, and any combination of both.
Finally, the XCU system of "base stations" (the first of its kind) incorporates an independent, rack-mountable and low-cost "cradle", in which all external signal connections are made.
