Colombia. After the support of several Colombian universities, Click was born, the first channel specialized in the dissemination of science, innovation and technology that generates content from Latin America with segmented programming for different audiences.
TV Y VIDEO spoke with Gabriel Levy, deputy manager of programming and content of the channel, who said that "we do science to entertain, we use an everyday, close and friendly language about how science is done in Colombia, with programs for all audiences and all genres."
In that sense, it has programs such as Amaneciencia, a space in the morning that brings knowledge from the world of cooking, home and family. To discuss issues of high scientific and technological relevance that have a great social impact is The Science Debate.
In addition, teenagers find their place in the Clickeros program, which brings new technological advances and in The Conquest of the Wise, through games children test their knowledge. In total there are seven programs that the channel currently has on the air.
One of the novelties of Click is its distribution. It links the concept of convergence, so the content of the channel can be viewed through its website live, on demand and integrated into social networks.
Cable, satellite and community television systems can also access the signal, which is free but must have authorization from the channel's directives, through a short procedure that takes 48 hours.
This project involves the University of Antioquia, the Sena National Learning Service, the University of Medellín and the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia, Colciencias.
