According to the Minister of ICT, Diego Molano Vega, the selection of members will take into account experience in the sector and a high degree of academic training; will be full-time and their salaries may not exceed those of the experts of other technical commissions in the sector.
As approved, the National Television Agency will be responsible for administering television concessions in Colombia, promoting the development of public television and ensuring that the contents are adapted to the purposes of the service.
In addition, other functions that the National Television Commission has so far, such as the allocation of spectrum and the control of television services, will be assumed by the Communications Regulation Commission, the National Spectrum Agency and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.
