International. New versions of the Media Composer, NewsCutter and Symphony video editing systems, which provide new levels of compatibility, performance, collaboration and productivity, were introduced by the company Avid.
The company explained that the main novelty of the new versions is that they were built from scratch with a completely new architecture of 64 bitios that raises the level of quality of work.
The Media Composer and the Symphony reach version six, while the NewsCutter reaches number ten. All feature the new Avid Open I/O interface, which provides compatibility with popular audio and video cards from AJA Video Systems, Blackmagic Design, Bluefish444, Matrox, and Motu.
Among the main features they present, the preservation of the complete color information of HD RGB 4:4:4 sources without compromising the performance of the system or storage through the Avid DNxHD 444 codec, of high HD quality.
It also enables you to maintain a reliable editorial process with new stereoscopic 3D workflows that redefine industry norms by offering full resolution, real-time editing, combined eye workflows, plus a deep toolkit, with title control and conversion.
The company also introduced the Avid Vantage, a membership program for Media Composer and Symphony customers that provides subscribers with unlimited technical support via the Internet, plus heavily discounted telephone technical support when they need it.
