LiveU is integrating AI for real-time video

LiveU está integrando la IA para video en tiempo real

Latin America. LiveU sees AI as a strategic ally to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and empower live production. This was pointed out by José Luis Reyes in a conversation with TVyVideo+Radio.

"LiveU recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the broadcast industry by streamlining workflows, reducing costs, and powering live production. The company sees AI as a strategic ally to improve operational efficiency and the viewer experience, providing solutions that facilitate remote production, content automation and distribution personalization," said Reyes.

LiveU is integrating AI into its solutions to optimize real-time video management, improve bandwidth usage, and elevate streaming quality. "At the heart of this revolution is LRT™ (LiveU Reliable Transport), our proprietary IP link technology, which ensures stable connectivity and low latency in any environment," Reyes explained.

In addition, it has LiveU IQ, a solution that empowers network operators' infrastructure, automatically switching to the cellular networks with the best performance, even in rural areas or congested networks. AI is also applied in cloud production tools and automation of repetitive tasks.

"At LiveU we observe a growing regional interest in AI to optimize efficiency in the coverage of live events, improve content distribution and personalize the offer for digital audiences," said Reyes.

Channels and production companies are looking for solutions that allow them to operate in a more agile and competitive way, reducing dependence on expensive infrastructures and betting on technological innovation. "With AI applied in our structure, customers enjoy better response times, especially in emerging TV stations that need efficiency and speed in the creation of live content," added Reyes.

Expectations for the Latino market in 2025
LiveU foresees an increase in the adoption of AI-based solutions in the region, especially in sports coverage, news and remote production.

"With the increasing digitization of media, more companies are expected to adopt cloud-based models and AI-powered tools to improve the efficiency and profitability of their operations," says Reyes. "LiveU will continue to lead this transformation, providing technologies that optimize live streaming and provide greater flexibility to content creators in Latin America," he concluded.
