Latin America. R³ Space Engine, wTVision's broadcast rendering engine, has received HDR Certification from color processing specialists, Cromorama.
This certification confirms R³ Space Engine's ability to perform precise transformations between HDR and SDR, reinforcing wTVision's commitment to delivering cutting-edge graphics technology for TV broadcasts.
During the process, rigorous testing was carried out by Cromorama's technical team in collaboration with wTVision specialists. These tests included advanced LUT (Lookup Table) conversions for HLG and SDR, ensuring adaptability to various transmission standards. This certification ensures visual consistency and color fidelity for customers, especially in workflows where HDR graphics need to be converted to SDR and vice versa.
In the testing process, Cromorama configured a DaVinci Resolve editing station along with an AJA ColorBox and a LEADER LV 5600 analysis monitor, establishing a controlled environment to evaluate the accuracy of R³ Space Engine in the application of complex LUT conversions, such as HLG to SDR using NBCU LUT3, and SDR to HLG conversions. The Cromorama report confirmed that wTVision's R³ Space Engine complies with HDR standards, showing identical results in SDR to HLG and HLG to SDR transformations, demonstrating the accuracy and reliability of wTVision's technology.
Daniel Gonçalves, Innovation and Pre-Sales Director at wTVision, says: "We are excited about Cromorama's certification, which highlights wTVision's commitment to excellence in broadcast graphics. With HDR Compliance, the R³ Space Engine enables our customers to deliver vivid and accurate visuals that enrich live streams."
With this certification, wTVision's R³ Space Engine reinforces its role in providing broadcast professionals with essential tools to maintain superior visual quality, both in HDR and SDR formats. This achievement underscores wTVision's ongoing commitment to technological excellence and constant improvement.
