Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, through the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), has simplified the registration process for remotely piloted aircraft (better known as drones), in order to allow citizens to carry out this procedure quickly, easily and completely virtually.
To operate a drone in Peru, it is mandatory to register it with the DGAC of the MTC and have the corresponding authorization as a pilot of unmanned aircraft (with exceptions according to Law No. 30740).
New steps to register a drone:
1. Enter the MTC's virtual Parts Table: https://mpv.mtc.gob.pe/.
2. Click on "New Application" and select the "Remotely Piloted Aircraft Registration (RPAS)" option.
3. Click on "Open form" and fill in the requested information. The registered data will be valid as an affidavit.
4. Completed procedure! The Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics will automatically issue the RPAS registration certificate.
Recommendation: all the technical data of the drone and the personal information of the owner must be available before starting the process.
Previously, this process required the submission of the "Appendix A" form of NTC 001-2015, with technical information of the drone and personal data of the owner. This process could take up to 30 business days for the issuance of a resolution. With this new modality, registration is done in a matter of minutes.
