Chile. The president of the National Television Council, CNTV, Mauricio Muñoz, together with CNTV executives, met with the National Association of Community Channels and representatives of the Ministry General Secretariat of Government to relieve the work that is being done together for the strengthening and development of community TV in the country.
"We were very satisfied with this working meeting in conjunction with the General Secretariat of Government and the Association of Community Channels. We must build networks and alliances so that community media grow and can have greater support. And how CNTV we are committed to continue working and supporting for its strengthening, "said President Mauricio Muñoz.
For her part, Javiera Olivares, who attended in her capacity as advisor to the Cabinet of Minister Camila Vallejo, thanked the invitation of the president of the CNTV and all the institutions that are working together with the community channels.
"For Minister Vallejo and Undersecretary Cardoch it is very important to continue in this line in several agendas, with other spaces also of the Government, which seek to strengthen community channels and radios. We are very satisfied and we will continue working on this agenda that still has a lot to do," Olivares said.
"There is an institutional commitment on the part of the Ministry General Secretariat of Government, around relieving the importance of community media for Chile in communications, protection, collaboration, and to break down those barriers that limit the media to promote their work in the territories. The president of the Association of Community Channels, Paula Gálvez, also thanked this instance and the possibility of having support in the development of communications; in the regulation, and in the realization of activities that promote community media.
