Colombia. The ICT Ministry launches the Call Stories of Change aimed at all professionals in the audiovisual industry, for which it made an investment of $ 4,200 million, (about US $ 1 million). The goal is to feed the digital screens of national and regional public channels with stories created by people in the sector.
Minister Mauricio Lizcano pointed out that "With Historias del Cambio we want to benefit 300 workers in the country's audiovisual industry so that through their productions they feed public TV with quality content. We will receive 1,000 proposals and when we reach this goal the process will automatically close."
Among the requirements to participate are to be of legal age, reside in Colombia and work in the audiovisual industry. Likewise, applicants must prove either their professional career in the sector, membership of a trade association in the audiovisual industry or the recognitions received at national or international film festivals.
Those who want to participate may do so individually by presenting a fiction proposal in a unitary format, or in groups of maximum 3 people, a fiction web miniseries proposal.
The Stories of Change call will have two qualification phases. In the first, a monitoring and control committee established by the operator of the call, which in this case is Canal Trece, will verify that all contestants meet the requirements. In the second phase, a group of evaluators will review the proposals and choose the 300 best under criteria of relevance, narrative aspects and feasibility.
The call is open until July 24. For terms and conditions, click here.
