Peru. "With this guide, the regulator expands access to information for people with visual disabilities, which will help mobile, fixed, cable television and internet services to be better used and the rights of users are respected," said the director of Attention and Protection to the User of OSIPTEL, Tatiana Piccini Anton.
A first group of this informative material, produced by the Directorate of Attention and Protection to the User of the regulator, was delivered to people with visual disabilities of the Rehabilitation Center for the Blind of Lima (Cercil), the National Union of the Blind of Peru (UNCP) and the Luis Braille Educational Institution, located in the districts of Surco, Cercado de Lima and Comas. respectively. In total, there were 120 beneficiaries, who, at the time of receiving the manual, were trained by OSIPTEL staff on their rights and obligations as users of public telecommunications services.
The topics found in this guide were selected, taking into consideration the most relevant information for decision making. These include the 10 rights of the user of public telecommunications services, the main rights of people with disabilities, the contracting of the service, migration, the unique password, the digital tools of OSIPTEL and its service channels. It also reveals what to do if you have problems with the service and what happens if the operating company blocked your cell phone unjustifiably.
