Colombia. Visión Broadcast is a company that for 5 years has been offering services and technology for Colombian radio stations, with several recognized brands in its portfolio. TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Andrés Téllez, its project manager, who told details of the company.
"Our core business is broadcasters, both community, public interest, and commercial. We also provide services to university institutions, for their stations and audiovisual solutions in auditoriums. We represent several brands in the country, with which we seek to bring a solution to the client, especially that it has a sales service in what is implementing its project, "he explained.
During the Broadcast Depot event in three Colombian cities, Visión Broadcast presented video streaming solutions of the RGB Link and Nagasoft brand, aimed at medium or small producers, who are venturing into podcasting, live stations, video transmission projects, with streaming, which allows us to cover a portable and low-cost solution.
When asked about the adoption of technology in Colombian radio stations, he stressed that the main work that must be done is awareness, training and adaptation.
"We have been working with brands on that, because obviously the user has changed, from the basic user who walked with his battery radio, to one of content, more than let's say, oops, a news happened, I'm going to see how many platforms do it, I'm going to see it, not in real time, but there is the information, Then they have to start generating more content, already with optimal standards, where they have a good quality of audio transmission and also video, "he said.
Andrés Tellez recalled one of the recent projects in which his company participated, which stands out for the social impact it has, in addition to the technical resources. It is a totally virtual indigenous station, which they manage through streaming, produce content for social networks, make programs in Spanish and in their original language and has received international resources for its operation. This station was given a console, visual radio software and PTZ cameras.
"They have a very nice study in which we help them to provide all this valuable content in terms of equipment and they are super excited and that is where, as I was commenting before, it is a matter of training, adaptation, awareness, that the operators themselves begin to see that need. Here it is not about the number of teams you have, but knowing how to take advantage of what you have and what is coming out to be able to make all that content, "he concluded.
