Colombia. Telos Alliance participated in the day that had its distributor Broadcast Depot in three cities in Colombia. TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Juan Punyed, regional sales director of Telos, who told the latest news of the company.
"In Colombia we are launching our audio console in the cloud, Altus. It is the last thing we presented at NAB and it is making a lot of noise due to the fact that it is a virtual console that can create content on the same PC or computer where the application is run in any web browser or HTML and you can listen right there directly through WebRTC, "he explained.
On the Colombian market, Juan Punyed indicated that it starts interesting, getting up a little. "Still not 100 percent of what I would expect, but it looks like it's going to be pushed again. There are several projects with the intercom in the cloud."
On the market of the region, he assured that he continues walking. "I think the U.S. has had a downturn and many of the manufacturers are looking at Latin America as an answer or solution. And I think the talk between other manufacturers is almost the same. And it is interesting because we have to take advantage of the fact that the factories are seeing the region more, therefore giving more importance and more importance to the region. And I think that would help to be able to rush, expedite, to close projects that may be on stand-by for a few dollars of difference."
He added that there are countries like Brazil that have actually opened up to strong investment, curiously after the entry of Lula and contrary to what one might think and that faster projects have been carried out after that change.
"I think we are in a moment where decisions are being made if it is worth investing in physical equipment or if it is worth making an investment in the cloud for example. And there are still small companies that are seeing it as an opportunity," he concluded.
