Latin America. After acquiring Seal Telecom in 2020, the company Convergint has continued the expansion plan in Latin America, increasing the number of countries in which it has a local presence with its different areas of work: AV, IT, security and broadcast.
TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Pablo Psijas, Regional Grow director South Cone Latam of Convergint, who said that the company's offices were recently opened for the markets of Bolivia, Ecuador, Uruguay and Paraguay.
"We maintained the presence in the same countries where we were and added new offices. In Uruguay we are growing faster and we have a consolidation plan for the period 2023-2024 to lead technological integration projects in our specialties in the region," he said.
He explained that Seal's main origin was more audiovisual. They also had an important part in electronic security and Building Management System, BMS, and some broadcast. When Convergint arrives, they strengthen electronic security, develop and expand broadcast media entertainment outside Brazil, something that Pablo had to develop when he came to lead the markets of Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, and the other countries began to supply the specialties they lacked.
On the markets it leads in the Southern Cone of the region, he stressed that Chile has a track record and in recent years has done very well. In Argentina they are a little more complicated by the political and economic conditions, however, he assured that it is a country with a tremendous market, with very prepared people, with tremendous potential, to which they have a lot of faith. Uruguay, although it is a small market, has a monetary stability that is good for investors and a lot of foreign capital and technological projects that are coming. In the four countries, there are about 215 people working at Convergint.
Pablo Psijas concluded that "Our value proposition today is coverage, because we are in all Latin American countries and a single provider with many technological specialties. We define ourselves as best service providers, that is as the number one commandment of the company. The idea is that when the customer thinks about technology, they think about Convergint."
