Argentina. Character generators, play out, intake by full 4K baseband, are part of the new line of equipment developed by the Argentine company Media 5 to offer its customers alternative solutions to those available in the market.
This line of equipment can be configured in different ways or be purchased in HD 4K Ready mode, an option that allows you to invest what is necessary in each stage of the implementation.
CG5 4K Character Generator
With respect to the new CG5 4K Character Generator it is highlighted that the changes and additions are several, among the most important the new system is development for Windows 10 of 64 bit achieving better use of the available hardware resources. The company developed a new module that allows you to add to CG5 4K the ability to have DVE - Digital Video Effects 3D by adding 4 SD/HD SDI inputs or 4 NDI inputs or a combination of both, allowing to generate 3D DVE in real time, different input and output effect, amount and size of simultaneous DVE definable by the user, you can define a full-screen DVE to be used as an effect generator, ideal for outdoor mobiles, new external controls by Tablet, etc.
Play Out and 4K Intake
The most important thing to highlight about these new equipment is its architecture, basing these applications on the same hardware therefore a 4K Play Out can be reconfigured as a 4 OUT OR 2 OUT + 2 IN HD Play Out and in the same way a 4K Ingestion equipment can be reconfigured as a 4 CHANNEL HD Baseband Ingest equipment. The Play Out are Multiformat and the ingest equipment records and compresses in Real time.
Updating the MAM
The company added several control functions with its systems with which M-MAM can manage news, play out, character generators, recorder, storage, etc. and everything related to the administration and control of the media from start to finish.
Within M-MAM, these new control functions allow, for example, that each user can have a personalized control board, which with a simple glance will obtain graphs and information of absolutely everything that is happening in the channel: the state of the servers, resources, which and how many videos were ingested, in what format, how many videos are ready for approval, what and how many audios are in the process of approval in the editing area; and how the storages are behaving throughout the workflow among many other data available in the system. In this way, MAM users can quickly access information that is relevant to decision-making.
In the new version of M-MAM they have put a lot of development in the import of content with its structures, which translates into a very fast and simple ingestion process, new control board for decision making, we integrate our MAM with systems such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
They added features that allow native ingestion of Panasonic and Sony video and camera structures, as well as video editor systems like Grass Valley's Edius or Avid's Media Composer. This has allowed us to expand, within the MAM, the systems and structures of the formats it supports. In addition to natively and transparently ingesting editing formats from any editor or camera.
New options for file handling were added that allow the customer to offer many more options based on Libraries or Stand Alone units in Sony ODA or LTO mode.
Play out, recorders and HD character generators
Fundamentally, they are updated to the most modern formats.
