Latin America. Due to its outstanding performance in the distribution of professional video cameras, mirrorless cameras and transmission lenses in Latin America and Brazil in 2020, the Canon company presented an award to the Merlin company.
Merlin representatives stressed that 2020 was the year of the consolidation of the alliance with Canon, after years of negotiation. "With a bold proposal despite the uncertainties of the pandemic, we closed an agreement to carry out the Distribution for Latin America of the Professional Video and Vixia line and the Mirrorless line for Brazil. Canon is an incredible brand, with a diversified line and high-quality products that allowed us to work with different market segments with our resellers."
As an example, they highlighted mirrorless cameras that function as a more practical alternative to DSLRs. "We exceeded Canon's expectations, especially in the Latin American market, we are proud of the achievement and for 2021 we are ready to help Latin America grow. Merlin has been in Brazil for 35 years and 5 years serving the Latino market through its base in Miami through its network of resellers in major countries."
Finally, the Brazilian-born distributor thanked the Canon team and its team of 50 distributors in 11 Latin American countries for their trust and dedication to the distribution channel.
