Argentina. As a result of the very good acceptance of the first catalog of the Benteveo Program, Enacom is working on the curation of material composed mostly of weekly programs, microprograms and public good campaigns, so that AM and FM stations throughout the country can broadcast on their frequencies.
The contents arise from productions made by community, border and Indigenous Peoples' media within the framework of the Competitive Development Fund for Audiovisual Media, Fomeca. In this sense, authorities of the National Directorate of Development and Development of the Entity estimate that by the end of January the new material will be available for download.
National Radio stations, such as Radio Nacional Bariloche, Río Turbio, Jujuy and Las Lomitas, among others, and community and Indigenous Peoples' media, such as Voces Originarias de Awyayala, La Tribu, La Propaladora, Los Coihues, Gente de Radio and Soberanía Nacional, fed their programming with material selected in the Benteveo Program.
Benteveo was launched in May 2020 and aims to promote access by the general public to audiovisual productions made within the framework of Fomeca, to form a production report that serves as a precedent for the different calls and that functions as a guide for future productions, and encourage transparency in the dissemination of promotion policies.
Since the program was launched, the Subdirectorate of Community Media and Plurality of Voices, which depends on the National Directorate of Development and Development, has been working to value community and Indigenous Peoples' production, by distributing the material produced and promoting dialogue between community media and the public media system.
