Chile. Carolina Cuevas, who served as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity, took over as president of the National Television Council, CNTV, replacing Catalina Parot Donoso.
She is a Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile and a Master in Management and Development of Services from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. She has been vice president of RedMad (Network of Women in Senior Management), researcher for the Center for Experiences and Service of the Business School of the Adolfo Ibáñez University, Guest Professor of the Center for Corporate Development of the same house of studies and evaluator of the Chilean Model of Excellence.
She has been part of the mentoring team at Woom Up, accompanying women through mentoring and networking supporting their professional development or ventures, according to their interests and challenges.
He has more than 20 years of experience in executive positions in the financial industry working in different areas, leading strategic projects and management teams.
She chairs the Women and Economy Forum of the 21 APEC economies, where she leads the La Serena Roadmap on Women and Inclusive Growth, as a guide for APEC work 2019-2030 towards the full incorporation of women in the economy.
As undersecretary, she has promoted the economic integration of women; including non-traditional areas such as Mining, Energy and Construction, as well as their participation in leadership positions; the creation of the Women's Registry for Directories to encourage the presence of more women in these instances, as well as the creation of the Report of Gender Indicators in Companies in Chile, among other initiatives.
She was part of the programmatic teams of President Piñera's government program 2018-2022, integrating the Women's Commission.
