Latin America. Antenna manufacturer Dielectric launched two products The first was the TFU-WB-LP series of broadband antennas, low cost and low cost of wind load. These are great alternatives to UHF panel antennas, as they offer a very low weight and 75 percent less wind load than panels.
The second new product is the DCR-Q antenna model for VHF television, which provides an economical solution for VHF circular polarized transmission. These offer much less load than traditional panel arrays.
Federico D'Avis, Dielectric's International and Scientific Sales, told TVyVideo+Radio that "Both are now available. The TFU-WB-LP, the low-wind load slot antenna will provide broadcasters in Latin America with a versatile solution to complete the construction of their network."
He added that during this covid testing time, they have maintained contact with customers by phone and email to satisfy their requirements and questions. In addition, they have used video conferencing to help certain customers in their facilities.
Finally, he pointed out that "An important project in which we participated recently was the combiner and antenna system of multiple FM stations for CRP Medios y Entretenimiento SAC in Lima. The antenna is located on the site above Lima, Morro Solar. The antenna has eight stations each at 30 kW for a total power input of 240 kW into the antenna. The antenna provides the customer with the ability to increase their coverage in Lima for their eight stations."
