Brazil. Broadcast Depot was in Brazil presenting Sodyo, the real on-screen interaction tool that allows you to connect the content of the online screen, interact with what is seen on the screen, both to expand information and to buy items that are being presented.
Danilo Bautista, sales manager of Broadcast Depot, told TVyVideo+Radio that Sodyo allows broadcasters new ways of monetization in different spaces that they did not have before, as well as metadata that can be added to traditional television marketing. Users should only have the broadcaster app in which they will find the option to scan the code at the times it is available.
"Sodyo is an Israeli company founded by two ophthalmologists who went to Japan and saw the incidence of qr code in the market. Based on this concept, they developed the technology that generates a color code that allows scanning at a greater distance and provided digital marketing tools such as metadata and geolocation to be able to have information about users," explained Danilo Bautista.
Broadcast Depot began this year with the representation of Sodyo and in Latin America they have done very well. They already have several contracts signed, mainly in Central America and an important broadcaster for the entire region.
Finally, he pointed out that "As always Latin America moves by politics, there are countries that rise, others that fall, but in general we have done very well. That's why we always try to innovate with new products like this one from Sodyo, which opens a new door for us and the acceptance has been very good."
