Colombia. This year will be special for the audiovisual industry as the BAM reaches its tenth version; there, around 1,800 participants will enjoy the activities that the market has prepared and will have more than 100 visitors from 30 countries who will be part of business rounds, talks, networking, among other spaces.
To start the countdown of this activity, the launch press conference was held, which was chaired by the ambassador of Italy, guest country in this version of the BAM, Gherardo Amaduzzi, who stressed that "Italy and Colombia are members of 'Ibermedia', a program to promote co-productions of films and documentaries currently made with 21 associated countries. In this regard, it is important to underline that another fundamental objective of Italian participation is to explore the possibility of closer collaboration with Colombia in terms of cinematographic co-productions."
On the other hand, and as usual, the ANTV will again be an allied partner of this platform that continues to bet on the creative and business strengthening, as well as the visibility of the stories and strengthening of the promotion, marketing, relationship and quality of content in this industry.
The launch of BAM 2019, was attended by Mariana Viña Castro, director of the ANTV who was convinced that "the best way to guarantee that there is good content in Colombia is to promote them, therefore, through FONTV more than 11 billion pesos have been allocated for small and medium-sized companies to strengthen their content catalog, thus feeding the national and international audiovisual market".
Viña Castro also invited attendees to participate in the TV Lounge in which the ANTV participates every year and that on this occasion will talk about children's television, ethnic, calls, among other topics of interest; There will also be held the Day of Television, where special guests will highlight the growth of the quality of content of both public and private channels, and also the ANTV Stimuli will be delivered, to the winners of the FonTV Call, which closed the reception of proposals on May 30.
For this year the Bogotá Audiovisual Market brings new activities such as the BAM Disruptors, a program of talks that for the first time will be open and freely accessible to the public; BAM Animation, a new category that seeks to strengthen companies dedicated to the production of animated content; and the BAM Nights, a space for all accredited to have opportunities to make contact in the market.
The event will be held from July 8 to 12 at the Chamber of Commerce and the Gimnasio Moderno school.
