Mexico. With a focus on the application of artificial intelligence and Big Data, the National Autonomous University of Mexico will hold the III International Congress of Digital Archives from November 5 to 8 in Mexico City.
This congress aims to:
- Study and identify the opportunities and challenges offered by artificial intelligence for digital archives that preserve sound and audiovisual content.
- Expose and analyze the scope of techniques and technologies for the analysis of big data in the digital preservation of sound and audiovisual content.
- Carry out prospective exercises, based on the current situation of sound and audiovisual archives, in order to determine the possible applications of artificial intelligence and big data in digital preservation.
The general coordination of the Congress is in charge of the Institute of Library and Information Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, headed by Dr. Perla Olivia Rodríguez Reséndiz and the organizing committee are part of the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas.
The III International Congress of Digital Archives is part of the research activities of the DGAPA UNAM PAPIIT IT 400118 project and the Ibero-American Network for the Digital Preservation of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (RIPDASA).
