IBC. A positive part of the presence and growth of the company in the region during the course of the year, was given by Rafael Castillo, vice president for Latin America and the Caribbean of SAM, within the framework of IBC.
He stressed that "this year we are already exceeding the sales figures assigned to the region, with growth during the first half of the year being in the triple digits. And it was what we expected because of the strong investment and presence, with offices in Miami, Mexico and Brazil, as well as support in all countries. It has been a year of hard work to publicize our solutions."
He assured that part of the success has been the launch of solutions aimed directly at the market in the region, including medium and small customers, who are still in transition from tape to file formats and from SD to HD. Also, with solutions for those who are thinking of implementing IP.
One of the novelties presented at IBC, was the SAM News system, which allows that, in addition to presenting the news on a large screen, you can quickly reach social networks, regardless of the format of the image. It does not depend on applications running on a computer, but web-based, fully open and integrated with all production systems.
"We can't leave the IP behind. At IBC we are presenting our vision of migration to IP. Everything we are showing has SDI and IP input, SDI to IP conversion in any type of interface, whether it is 10, 25 or 40 gigabytes. Our vision of IP is to be able to be agnostic, working with static computers, in an efficient way," said Rafael Castillo.
