Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, recalled that until August 19 the bases to participate in the First Public Tender corresponding to the year 2016 can be acquired, for the granting of up to 44 new authorizations of the sound broadcasting service in Modulated Frequency (FM), with community, educational and commercial purpose, in 14 localities nationwide.
It should be noted that for the selection of localities, the State's interest in social inclusion and the need to promote the development of broadcasting services throughout the country, contemplated in the recent amendment to the Regulations of the Radio and Television Law, approved by Supreme Decree No. 008-2016-MTC, have been taken into consideration.
For this reason, priority has been given to the localities that are part of the apurimac River Valley, Ene and Mantaro – VRAEM, and those located in the border areas, places of preferential social interest and those classified as rural areas. Decentralization and the expression of public interest in the conduct of the contest were also considered.
In this sense, by Means of Directorial Resolution N 1227-2016-MTC/28, the General Directorate of Authorizations in Telecommunications approved the Bases of the Public Tender N° 01-2016-MTC/28, which are published in the following web link: http://www.mtc.gob.pe/comunicaciones/autorizaciones/radiodifusion/concurso.html
As reported by the General Directorate of Authorizations in Telecommunications, in these contests it is expected to continue with the promotion of access to broadcasting services of entities or natural persons that bet on programming with different and quality content that promote education and national integration, as well as promote the customs of each locality.
It was also indicated that there is a first-level Evaluation and Reception of Proposals Committee that ensures transparency in the conduct of the selection processes.
According to the schedule published by the MTC on its website, the sale of the bases for public tender No. 01-2016-MTC/28 will be held until August 19, 2016, at the MTC headquarters in Lima and at the Agencies of the Banco de la Nación at the national level (Transaction No. 9650, Code No. 1017).
