Mexico. Aldo Campisi, VP of Sales for Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal at ChyronHego, considered that the broadcast industry is in a period of transformation. With new markets such as OTT and VOD. And for these new challenges, the company offers suitable solutions, he said.
"We are at a point where our industry is transforming, where the need for content is much greater. If you want to put together ten channels and send them by streaming or video-on-demand (VOD), it is impossible to produce in the way that has been done in the last 40 years; it requires simplifying and automating the process. And in this we are specialists, it is part of our heart," he said in Mexico City, when participating in the Expo Cine, TV y Video 2016.
And he described the company's portfolio of solutions: "This exhibition was focused on the interactivity of the acquisition of ChyronHego. Chyron acquired Hego; then it acquired Mediacast, also Vidigo and now Hybrid. The challenge was for everything to be interconnected, to be able to work remotely and agilely. That is why we now present the interactivity of the products of all these companies that are with ChyronHego, with the parts of News, Sports, Virtual, Sports Analysis, that is, in a virtual, non-traditional way".
Campisi recounted the year and advanced future prospects: "This year was extremely heavy, for all the sporting events, but not only for it, also for the elections side – it does not matter if they are American or international customers – they need to create content for those events. It's a very busy year. We will have a very strong semester. We are going to announce new customers that have been made from Mexico to Brazil."
