Argentina. On May 17, the first of a series of meetings will be held with officials and specialists who will analyze the main axes for the draft of the new Communications Law.
The First Academic Debate on Freedom of Expression and CommunicationAl Convergence will be held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and will be attended by the members of the commission in charge of drafting the preliminary draft:
Silvana Giudici, its coordinator and member of the Board of Directors of Enacom, Andrés Gil Domínguez, constitutionalist and expert in the right to communication on the Internet, and Henoch Aguiar, vice president of ARSAT, who will act as moderators of the meeting.
On this first occasion the exhibitors will be Damián Loreti, Martín Becerra, Alejandro Fargosi and Diego Petrecolla. From these meetings, it will be possible to exchange different views and analysis of the current situation of communications and propose foundations for the new legislation.
The debate, which has been called "Towards a law of communicational convergence: proposals on the present and the future", will be held from 14:45.
