Chile. In its eighth version, the Tecné Fair "Technologies that revolutionize content", will be held on May 23, 24 and 25, at the Mapocho Station Cultural Center in Santiago de Chile.
The meeting will feature more than 80 exhibitors, content seminars, debates and the national and international participation of the creative industry, the media and the academic world (with 11 participating Communication Schools).
Alejandro Wilson, General Director of Tecné, explains that the eighth version of the meeting will focus on the "new and complex context that the environment is experiencing at a global and local level, impacted by the vertiginous development of technologies". And for this, the event will aim to generate a dialogue between technology developers, the media and the creative industry, seeking to promote the development of new content with local identity, with a focus on new media and their multiplatforms.
In this new scenario, Tecné convenes a wider audience, made up mainly of professionals and technicians linked to the audiovisual industry, but also by developers of innovation projects and experts in new media and languages, who will be able to bring fresh air to an industry that urgently needs to expand its business opportunities through the better understanding and management of a new ecosystem that has transformed the way of communicating.
The exhibition has a highly attractive offer for the national media and the general public: Broadcasters, Rental Companies, Technology Integrators, Audiovisual Producers, Post Production Centers, Independent Filmmakers, Digital Media Companies, Technology Manufacturers and Representatives, Educational Technologies, Digital Producers, Digital Marketing Agencies, Press Agencies, Communications Innovators and New Media.
The central theme "Development of local content for New Media" will be addressed in depth by prominent national and international guests, among which are:
Carlos A. Scolari, Professor at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain) and one of the fathers of Transmedia and New Media in Spanish. His experience is mainly linked to transmedia storytelling and the evolution of media and transmedia literacy.
Damián Kirzner, Director of the Mediamorfosis and Newsock projects (http://www.mediamorfosis.net/, http://www.newsock.com.ar/), leading platforms in the region around the creative development and new formats and languages for Latin American media.
In addition, in this eighth version of Tecné there will also be the launch of the newly formed Chilean Cinematography Association, a ceremony in which the main exponents of the local film medium will participate.
