Avid has announced exciting developments in its preparation for Avid Connect 2016, the annual meeting of the Avid Customer Association (ACA), where hundreds of media professionals meet in person to discuss the latest industry trends and the future of the industry. The event will be held April 16 and 17 at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel, ahead of NAB.
At his opening session on the morning of Saturday, April 16, Avid President and CEO Luis Hernandez, Jr. will reveal the company's latest innovations. Attendees will also be able to hear from media organizations and developers about their business transformations with the Avid MediaCentral Platform, and the openness and integration the platform has enabled to achieve.
Avid Connect will feature influential and stimulating keynotes, content-rich technical and business sessions, views from professionals, visionaries from a range of media outlets, and more. There will be Darryl Jefferson, VP digital workflow of NBC Sports Group, sound designer Martín Hernández, in charge of the sound of films such as The Revenant, Birdman, Into the Wild, among others.
